Richard has been practicing law since 1973, focusing in Real Estate, Estates, Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Corporate and Commerical Law. Richard graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1971. He regularly attends nursing homes and hospitals to see clients that find it difficult to come to our offices.


Richard is very active in the community with the Rotary Club, Children’s Rehab Centre, Easter Seals, and the Marconi. He has held numerous positions with the Algoma District Law Association, including serving as President. Richard has been the recipient of the Rotarian of the Year Award, the Harry Hamilton Award and the Enzo Frugoli Award.


In the past, Richard has been counsel to the Children’s Aid Society and had been on the panel for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer representing children since its inception. He has also acted as solicitor for purchasers, vendors, and mortgagees in residential, commercial, and recreational transactions; as well as solicitor for estates, estate trustees, and beneficiaries. His passion for client care means Richard can often be seen taking instructions and preparing wills and powers of attorney; attending at clients’ homes, at the hospital and at nursing and senior citizens’ homes to obtain instructions and witness execution of the documents

Incorporating Ontario companies; as well as filing Articles of Amalgamation, Articles of Amendment, and recording Minutes and Resolutions.


Throughout his career Richard has contributed his time to many community service organizations, including being a founding member of Steel City Kiwanis, Marconi Society, Rotary Club of Sault Ste. Marie, Children’s Rehabilitation Centre and Fogolar Friolan. He has Chaired and Co-chaired the Easter Seals Telethon.
